KAL - Cloud Blouse

The Cloud Blouse by Petite Knit is a top-down, in-the-round, drop-sleeve sweater that is perfect to throw on during season transitions. Whether you’re finishing up a day at the park or attending an evening barbecue, this will become your new wardrobe staple. Yarn options are plentiful as it is a DK weight pattern with samples knitted holding two strands of lace weight mohair for the classic “cloud” effect. Not a fan of mohair? No problem! This garment also looks stunning made up with a single strand of DK weight yarn - choose a cotton blend for a warmer weather garment.

You will need size US 6 (4.0mm) knitting needles in 16 and 24-40 inches (for the sleeves and body, respectively)

Pre-Req:

Basic knitting knowledge is necessary to begin, but we can go over any techniques that may be a sticking point for you! Knit-a-longs are intended as a fun, laid back opportunity without a formal curriculum. Get to know your fellow knitters and we’ll work through tricky spots in the pattern together. Techniques that may be reviewed include increasing and decreasing, German short rows, picking up stitches, casting on for the underarm stitches, and binding off.

Homework:  

Get that swatch knit up! The instructor suggests casting on 25 stitches on US 6 needles, working 35 rows in stockinette stitch before binding off and blocking your swatch. Bring this with you to the first session to show off your hard work!

We ask that class fees be paid in advance (thank you!). A full refund will be granted with a 72-hour cancellation notice. Refunds or store credit will be issued if your class is cancelled due to low enrollment (which we hope never happens!).
