Makers Market

We are so excited to announce our first annual Makers Market! Each week, staring September 9th, we will be showcasing a new local artisan. From patterns to yarn to fiber, we'll be featuring handmade products across the fiber arts spectrum.

The Homestead Hobbyist

September 9th & 10th

From The Homestead Hobbyist website: "The Homestead Hobbyist is your source for unique fiber that you won't find anywhere else. Much of my spinning fiber is custom-designed by me and blended to my specifications; no other fiber artist carries these unique blends. The fleeces I purchase for my natural-color roving and yarns are hand-selected by me at local festivals and independent local farms from quality shepherds whom I know and love. My millspun yarns are created from unusual sheep breeds and from my own custom blends of fiber. I sell only products that I love, and I hope you love them too!"

Jorstad Creek

September 16th

A little bit about Jorstad Creek: " We are more than an "Indie Dyer", we are a local yarn and fiber company with a focus on the local. We build relationships with local farms with small flocks of specific breeds of sheep, working with shepherds sometimes several years to develop yarn and fiber products before we commit to market a product. Once we make a commitment to a farm, we commit to a long-term relationship and they commit to us to develop and breed fiber animals that meet a standard with the end market in mind. We think this is kind of a mission for us to keep and grow fiber production in Washington."

From the Cedar House website: "We live in a small, wooded valley at the foot of Mount Baker in the Pacific Northwest.   The colors that live around us are phenomenally beautiful and have inspired the shades we use for our hand dyed yarn."
