Tweedy
Hedgehog Fibres Tweedy combines DK weight yarn with the ties that they take off hand dyed skeins - those are the colored bits!
After Hedgehog Fibres had been collecting the ties for a while, they finally found a mill that could process them. It’s an involved process that involves re-carding them, blending, and spinning them into yarn again.
On top of their reusing their thread waste, Hedgehog uses recycled wool, making 50% of the total content recycled.
We love a good upcycle! And we love the result. It’s soft, yet wooly. The yarn is definitely not superwash and it blooms beautifully after washing.
Tweedy comes in 3 lovely colorways and is just begging to be made into sweaters and cardigans.
